EMU CM Alumni Information

As of January 1, 2024, the Construction Management Alumni Chapter at Eastern Michigan University has garnered more than $750,000 in scholarship funds. Our annual flagship event, the Construction Management Alumni Chapter Scholarship Golf Outing continues to be a success year after year. The funds raised support the Dr. John A. Weeks Scholarship and the Dr. James Stein Construction Management Scholarship.

Since 2020 we have organized the Student / Alumni Summit twice a year, offering the students a unique chance to connect with alumni while providing dinner on campus (except during COVID-19). We utilize chapter dues and university grants as funding to guarantee that this event remains free for attendees and accessible to all students.

In 2023 we started the Aishwarya Reddy Thatikonda Construction Management Scholarship to honor the late Aishwarya Reddy Thatikonda. This scholarship is available to International students looking to complete their undergraduate or master’s degree in Construction Management at EMU. The scholarship is not intended to be need-based or dependent on academic standing but rather to honor an EMU alumna who was taken from us too soon.

We additionally function as a valuable resource for Eastern Constructors, offering support in various forms such as securing guest speakers, facilitating job shadowing opportunities, and coordinating site tours.

We are always looking for ways to better support the Construction Management students and program. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at cm_alumni@emich.edu. Your input is highly valued.
