The Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED) is seeking an applicant to fill a full-time position where oversight of residential energy efficiency related home improvements is required.  Knowledge of residential Energy Auditing is desired.  OCED will provide training on related residential Building Science concepts to an applicant with a passion to learn. However, a basic understanding of residential construction will be important. 

This position will help to serve as project manager for general energy efficiency home improvements being completed in Washtenaw County. Supervising the work of energy auditor home inspectors, Insulation contractors, and HVAC contractors.  Working with homeowners will also be expected to make sure their questions are answered and the work is completed properly.

Certifications desired could include Building Performance Institute (BPI) Energy Auditor or Quality Control Inspector (QCI) or Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Certification or related certification.  Again, training and help gaining the required certification can be provided to the right applicant.
